Located on the lake side of City Hall, near the Market Battery, the City Hall Skating Rink provided winter outdoor activity for the community long before there was a Parks and Recreation department.  Further west, near the intersection of King and Emily streets, an indoor rink, known as the King St. Skating Rink, was home to the local skating club and offered family season tickets for $10.
